Background

Madelaine’s work is a result of a journey that began over 25 years ago... Art education that began with watercolour Artist and tutor David Taylor and later at the Jan Long  School of Art in East Gippsland –

Realism and Design - Oils, Graphite,  Charcoal, Chalk Pastel, Watercolour, Oil Pastel, Coloured Pencils. She studied colour theory, design principles and traditional techniques from the Masters and the application of many mediums  and  from wise teachers, many life lessons. too... She loved to learn...

Then a  simple quote reached her profoundly and she began working on her own, exploring new mediums and in new and adventurous ways. She was inspired by visits to the powerful coastline along The Great Ocean Road and 90 Mile Beach, however it wasn't long before a transformation of her art from realism to contemporary/expressionist - challenging the rules she had learnt and perhaps, incorporating all that she had learned.

Madelaine went to the edge and dived right in...

She discovered herself: her inner voice and her Inner Joy.

Madelaine is an emerging artist today and creates from a place of joy that she calls her

'Happy Place' - It is in many ways a place of Freedom.

She dreams that her art will bring as much joy to the beholder, as she receives in the creative process.

Madelaine is also a creativity mentor offering one on one coaching programs and has been running small group creativity classes in East Gippsland. She also now runs Zoom Master Classes to guide the process of awakening the inner artist in her students through 'Play'

Art is personal and we should all take our own path to find our Happy Place.

Madelaine can assist you to take that first step and start that journey...
